Extended triangle pose stretches and strengthens the thighs, knees and ankles as well as the hips groins, hamstrings, calves, shoulders, chest and spine. It also improves digestion and relieves back pain, neck pain and stress. This pose also helps manage the effects of osteoporosis, flat foot, menopause and pregnancy.
I'm not pregnant, but thank you anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteAs a long time sufferer of flat foot, I thank you for this post!
ReplyDeleteNice post. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like it would stretch out the hamstrings really good.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Penwasser really enjoys yoga and wants me to do it with her. I can't because I'm afraid one of my legs will snap like a breadstick and I'll be hopping along holding it (my leg...not 'it').
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I must admit I'm kinda partial to watching her do "Downward Dog" and "Happy Baby" looks more like an invitation to me.
But, anything to ward off the effects of menopause can't be all that bad. Can't be too careful, you know.
very insightful, thanks for the lesson. These poses are simple and aren't too hard on the back. I'm not flexible at all(unable to even touch my toes while standing).
ReplyDeleteI think i can do about half of one of those... i need to work on flexibility.
ReplyDeletegonna do this now :)
